Masterplanning the User Experience
Creating spaces where people thrive
Our expertise incorporates whole campuses and precincts.
Stakeholder engagement, benchmarking and research are core skills for us and fundamental to all aspects of our work. And these skills are directly transferable to city- and campus-scale environments.
Our work has included masterplanning for a number of leading institutions – RMIT University, James Cook University, the University of Otago, Victoria University Wellington and the Canberra Institute of Technology. Equally, we are providing user experience and precinct advisory services to Dexus’s city shaping projects in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
At the heart of the services is a close, evidence- and user cohort-based understanding of what attracts people to a place – their motivations and expectations. It’s about making the experience effortless and intuitive, imbuing a confidence that the time and effort taken to visit will be worthwhile and the end result rewarding and enjoyable. And in these hybrid times, actively designing that user experience through space, technology and curation is a fundamental requirement.
This emphasis is particularly relevant in higher education. The aspiration to the ‘sticky campus’, where students are encouraged to come before classes and stay afterwards has given way to the ‘magnetic campus’ - an experience that draws students to the campus in the first place.
Let us help you boost your magnetic field.
